Recently I’ve been trying to write a post on Firefox in Windows Vista using my MacBook…but there is this one little problem…my MacBook..and so as everybody else’s…doesn’t have the Print Screen key on the keyboard! Vista does come with a print screen utility called Snipping Tool…its really handy…but still, there are some screen shots you just couldn’t take with the tool. (just try taking a screen shot of the File menu…)
At first I thought I should get another screen shot utility to do the job (some of them can let you set a self timer), but surely…there should be a easier solution right? Well…it turns out that Apple did map most of windows keys to the built-in keyboard on the MacBooks / MacBook Pros! For example, the key combination for taking a screen shot is “fn + shift + F11“, if you just want the active window only, use “fn + shift + option (alt) + F11“!
If you want to know more about the keyboard mapping, you could check out the following links:

Actually…these mappings can also be found in the Boot Camp’s help file…I should have read them before I turn to Google for help!

Thank you man!
mate.. thank you!!
This is Interesting..
But after checkiing i have seen that not all keys are maped
(like for example RIGHT-MOUSE-MENU-KEY) witch is verry imprtant for keyboard navigation witout mouse..
Also even when most keys are maped somhow they are not where you would like them to be and you have to use very complicated combinations witch makes navigation harder as usual.
BUT AFTER MONTHES OF SEARCH I HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION !!!!!
Small App called MapKeyboard
Here is the Link –>
http://www.inchwest.com/mapkeyboard.aspx
I’m shure that this will be a greate help for everybody withe this Problem !!!
After remaping my Keys in Bootcamp i have everything wehere i want it to be 🙂
Put
DEL –> F12
Print screen –> F11
RightMouseMenu –> small Enter
(between right Apple and Left Arrow Key)
AltGr –> Right Apple
and switch
Left Apple with Left Alt
This is almost the usual Windows Keyset exept the F-Keys
But of course every one can find his way and Keymap !!!
I hope that not everybody will have to
search for a solution as long as i did…
Have FUNN !!!!
