I have been using Kaspersky Internet Security 220.127.116.11 (KIS for short) for some time now, this version was released on the 10th this month. Its considered to be a beta product since Kaspersky did not release this on their official website…although they did release the KIS 18.104.22.168 on the Russian website. I have heard rumors that they are going to release the version 7 of their products (Anti-Virus and Internet Security) on 1st of August…and the rumors turned out to be quite accurate. But how come there is no information or trial version on the official website? Well…you have to dig a little deeper to find it…at least for now. I found that you have to “hack” the link and change it a little to display the web page for the new products. It seems like they got all the information regarding to the new product already…but just need to link them to the main page and change the navigation a little. Here is now you can get to the new pages:
Step 1: Go to http://www.kaspersky.com/
Step 2: Click on Products & Services
Step 3: Click on Home Computer Security Software
Step 5: (For Kaspersky Internet Security) You will get an URL like this: http://usa.kaspersky.com/trials/home-users/internet-security-6/
Change the URL to: http://usa.kaspersky.com/trials/home-users/internet-security-7/
Step 6: Now you should see the new web page that describes the KIS7.
At the time of this written, Kaspersky still haven’t put links that will let you get to these pages yet…so if you want to download and upgrade your KIS/KAV (Kaspersky Anti-Virus), you can follow the steps above and get your hands on the final versions now. (The final version and the beta one that I am using has the same version number: 22.214.171.124, which (hopefully) suggest they are the same thing…no need to download it twice if you are using KIS 126.96.36.199 beta already).
Also you can go to the Kaspersky FTP to download these products:
